# Aloft opens in NY?s Financial District

Starwood expands its New York City portfolio with the opening of an Aloft hotel in the Financial District.  
Aloft Manhattan Downtown ? Financial District, features 125 loft-like rooms as well as what the company describes as ?tech-forward experiences, a buzzing social scene, and a full line-up of innovative music-driven programming.?  
It joins Aloft Harlem and Aloft New York Brooklyn as the third Aloft hotel in the New York City area.  
Brian McGuinness, global brand leader, specialty select brands for Starwood, said: ?As we approach the 100th hotel milestone worldwide, we?re on track to double the Aloft portfolio in New York City by 2018.?
