# Meininger takes over from ibis in Leipzig

Meininger Hotels will open a property near Leipzig’s main station at the beginning of 2017.

1 Meininger hostel

The former ibis Hotel will be converted in accordance with Meininger standards and will have 126 rooms.

Meininger currently operates 16 hotels in 10 European cities and is on course for expansion with the target of having a presence in all the important large European cities within the next few years. The Meininger concept is based on combining the service and comfort of a hotel with the relaxed atmosphere of a hostel: a central location, high-quality furnishings, flexible room structure and fair prices.
