**Anbang Said to Complete Most of $6.5 Billion U.S. Hotels Deal**  
Anbang Insurance Group Co. completed most of its $6.5 billion acquisition of Strategic Hotels & Resorts Inc., helping to bolster the Chinese company’s credibility as a global buyer after its abrupt withdrawal from the bidding war for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. earlier this year.

**Trump hotel chain fined over data breaches – The chain, one of Donald Trump’s businesses, also delayed reporting the breaches to consumers**  
Trump Hotel Collection has arrived at a settlement with New York Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman over hacks that are said to have led to the exposure of over 70,000 credit card numbers and other personal data.

**U.S. Consulate Warns of Terror Threats Against American Hotels in Turkey**  
The U.S. consulate in Adana, a major city in southeastern Turkey, warned Monday that it had received “specific and credible threats” that U.S.-branded hotels could be targets of terrorist activity.

**West Elm is betting that hotels are the future of furniture shopping**  
Brooklyn-based furniture retailer West Elm is getting into the hotel business. The company announced Monday that it will open a chain of boutique hotels starting in 2018\. The first locations will be in Charlotte, North Carolina; Indianapolis, Indiana; Detroit, Michigan; Savannah, Georgia; and Minneapolis, Minnesota. The properties will be operated by hospitality management company DDK.
