# Ritz-Carlton names Chang GM in Waikiki

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach names Douglas Chang?as general manager.  
Chang, who has 35 years of luxury hospitality experience, was most recently general manager of The Ritz-Carlton,?St. Louis.  
Prior to this, he was general manager of The Ritz-Carlton Club and Residences, Kapalua Bay, a luxury residential property that included whole ownership and fractional-ownership homes.  
His hospitality experience in the Hawaiian Islands also includes leadership positions at other luxury resort properties.  
Chang is a past board member, chair and vice chair of the Hawaii Tourism Authority and has served on the board of the Hawaii Hotel & Lodging Association and the Maui Hotel & Lodging Association.  
Chang was born and raised on?Oahu, so his appointment as general manager of The Ritz-Carlton Residences in?Waikiki?is a homecoming of sorts. He attended the?University of Hawaii, Manoa, studying international business.
