# Wyndham Sanya Bay opens

The 401-room Wyndham Sanya Bay opens in China, marking the first entry of the company?s upscale Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand to Sanya on Hainan Island.  
This new addition in Sanya is the latest step in the group?s strategic efforts to expand its namesake Wyndham brand to high-demand markets throughout China.  
This year, the brand has added locations in Shenzhen, Qingdao, Maoming and Urumqi. Currently, 19 hotels are open and operating in the country under the Wyndham brand flag.
