German’s hospitality business is booming – 3-4% more overnight stays target a new tourism record for this year. 405 new hotel construction projects with more than 64,400 rooms are under development, according to Tophotelprojects.
These are some of the upcoming new hotels in Germany:
- Innside by Melia Frankfurt – 168 rooms – Opening in October 2016
- Westin Hamburg Elbphilharmonie – 244 rooms – Opening in November 2016
- Barceló hotel Berlin – 283 rooms – Opening end of 2018
- Arcona Living Wetzlar – 218 rooms – Opening in 2018
- Henri Hotel Dusseldorf – 74 apartments – Opening in 2019
- Movenpick Airport hotel in Stuttgart – 262 rooms – Opening in 2019
Private held Novum hotel group leads in the German hotel market with a strong expansion to 96 hotels. Even for the business hotel concept Novum Style 13 new projects are scheduled.
