Accor to prepare sale of Hotel Invest division - Laurent Picheral named COO

Europe hotel firm number one, Accor is to sell its Hotel Invest division with a market volume of 6.6 bn Euro. To prepare the so-called ‚Booster‘ project, Laurent Picheral was announced as COO and deputy CEO; his role as managing director of Accor’s activities in Germany will remain.

For sale of the majority of Hotel Invest, Accor has entered into discussions with several potential investors with a confirmed objective to close the operation by early summer 2017. This valuation of the Hotel Invest owned and leased properties excluding Orbis hotels in Poland is €6.6bn, i.e. a slight increase vs. the €6.5bn expected year-end value disclosed last October 5th.
