Chris Oakes appointed as General Manager for Indigo Pearl Resort in Phuket, Thailand
Indigo Pearl is delighted to announce the appointment of Christopher Oakes as the new General Manager for Indigo Pearl resort in Phuket, Thailand. Chris joins Indigo Pearl with an impressive background in luxury hospitality and resort management as well as extensive international experience in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Thailand and the Maldives.
His last assignment was as Managing Director of Petchey Leisure, one of Europe’s leading leisure groups with resorts in Spain & Portugal, where he was responsible for the repositioning and growth of the company. Prior to this, Chris worked at Six Senses Resorts and Spas from 2004 to 2012 in various capacities, most recently as Chief Concept Officer for the Thai resorts and spas as well as the pre-opening of Six Senses Laamu, Maldives.
Throughout his career Chris has been focused on delivering work of the highest professional standards. He has consistently been able to manage major projects through pre-opening to launch and development, working to stringent deadlines, concepts and budgetary requirements. Chris’s excellent business communication skills and international luxury experience will further assist in taking Indigo Pearl to the next level of success and growing its international reputation as a leading lifestyle resort.
