Destination Hotels & Resorts names Shawn Jervis as GM of The Embassy Row Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Shawn Jervis, an accomplished hospitality industry veteran with more than 25 years of luxury resort and hotel experience at notable properties worldwide, has been named General Manager of The Embassy Row Hotel, by Destination Hotels & Resorts, in Washington, D.C.
Jervis will be responsible for the entire hotel operations, and leading the hotel staff to continually delight guests with its hospitality and D.C. charm. Jervis will steward the one-year $16 million renovation at The Embassy Row Hotel.
“It’s an honor and pleasure to join The Embassy Row Hotel in D.C., a city full of culture and iconic dining,” says Jervis, “We are looking forward to offering a modern and sophisticated Destination lifestyle hotel that will elevate the guests’ experience in the city.” Renovations will begin in spring 2014 and conclude in spring 2015; the hotel will remain open during the renovations.

Jervis will join The Embassy Row Hotel after serving as the General Manager, along with other positions held at Terranea Resort, by Destination Hotels & Resorts, outside of Los Angeles, California. Prior to his five years at Terranea, Jervis enjoyed successful tenures in senior management roles with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Grand Wailea Resort and Spa, and Marriott Hotels
A native of Colorado, Jervis is a combat veteran serving in both, United States Marine Corps and the Hawaii Army National Guard. He is married and has three children and two dogs. Jervis will relocate to Washington, D.C., Jervis enjoys traveling and exploring the best restaurants in D.C. He has a passion for philanthropy and giving back to the community.
