France named Best Romantic Destination (International)

France was voted as the Best Romantic Destination (International) at the recently held Lonely Planet Travel Awards at ITC Grand Central, Parel in Mumbai, as per a release. Catherine Oden, Director, Atout France India, said, “We are very happy with this recognition that France has received from Lonely Planet and its readers. This award is a perfect boost to our campaign, ?Be There! Do That!? which focuses on presenting unique, undiscovered experiences in France. Romance of course is an important element of this campaign with many novel romantic experiences in store for the Indian traveler. We are now further motivated to cement France’s association with romance in the years to come.”

Lonely Planet Magazine India invited travellers to choose their favourite destinations, preferred travel facilitators and most treasured travel experiences. Nominations for some of the awards were shortlisted by a panel of travel experts and professionals, and readers voted both online and in the magazine.
