Hiroshima Prefecture, in Japan’s Chugoku region, offers diverse scenic beauty throughout its 100+ islands in the Seto Inland Sea and the Chugoku Mountains. Its famous cuisine includes oysters and “okonomiyaki, ” a traditional savory Japanese pancake. Hiroshima’s two World Heritage sites attract visitors from around the world: the A-Bomb Dome, a 15-minute walk from the hotel, and the historic Miyajima Itsukushima shrine. The city itself embodies the liveliness of a major Japanese metropolis mixed with a rich history.

“The hotel is a three-minute walk from the Hatchobori train station, with four streetcar lines spreading in all directions,” said Shinichi Tamai, the hotel’s general manger. “Hiroshima City has the biggest streetcar network in Japan. It provides an excellent way to see the city, including spots such as Hiroshima Castle.”
