InterContinental breaks ground on $70 million Santo Domingo Hotel
Inter Continental Hotels Group?broke ground on a $70 million, 225-room hotel in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Real Hotels & Resorts, a hotel division of Grupo Poma, will own the new development, scheduled to open in 2015.
The Real Inter Continental Santo Domingo will be located in the upscale Piantini residential neighborhood on Avenida Winston Churchill next to the Acropolis, a shopping center with restaurants, shops and nearby nightlife. The hotel will feature a stylish lobby bar and multiple restaurants, with meetings rooms, business center, an outdoor pool, and a fitness center and spa.
