Kempinski loses luxury hotel Bristol in Berlin

Berlin, Germany – 13 December 2017 –
Showdown at the famous Ku’ damm: The traditional Bristol is no longer a Kempinski hotel. The owner decided to operate the luxury hotel with its 246 rooms and 55 suites individually. However, it will remain a “partner hotel” on kempinski.com and will continue to be a member of the Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) founded by Kempinski. Two years ago, a demolition of the traditional company was considered. Now a new era is dawning for the popular hotel in a prime location in the City West. Kempinski is now only represented with the Adlon in the German capital. The Bristol has belonged to Kempinski since 1952.

Birgitt Ullerich, who has been the director for eight years, remains as general manager. „The hotel remains in its current form and will be consistently modernized in the coming years, and numerous measures have already been implemented, such as the lobby, corridors, Bristol Café, etc.”, Ullerich informed her guests.
