Lea Burel is Director of Food and Beverage at Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort, China

Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort has announced the appointment of Director of Food and Beverage Lea Burel. Hailing from Paris, France, Ms. Burel began her career in hospitality in 2006 as an internship trainee at La Reserve Geneva designed by renowned French architect Jacques Garcia, and then she transferred to La Reserve Ramatuelle, of which villas were designed by innovative architect Remi Tessier.

After receiving bachelor’s degrees in restaurant and hotel management from the Paul Bocuse Institute and in administration management from IAE Lyon III, Lea took her interest in Asian culture and began her journey with the Sofitel in Shanghai.

She continued to gain experience with one of the most prestigious hotels in Asia, The Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, before to move on to Singapore for the Pre-opening and opening of the Sofitel So Singapore designed in collaboration with celebrated designer Karl Lagerfield. Prior to her appointment at Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort, she was working for Park Hyatt Beijing. In her new role, Ms. Burel will lead the resort’s Food and Beverage team in creating unique and memorable moments for global connoisseurs, offering signature Park Hyatt experiences, while also making the resort the best place to dine and work on Hainan.
