Orchard Hotel Singapore appoints new GM
Mr. Riaz Mahmood has been appointed as General Manager of Orchard Hotel Singapore.
A 20-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Mr Mahmood will spearhead the development of the 656-room property, home to celebrated Chinese restaurant Hua Ting and Orchard Cafe, along with other established food and beverage dining options.
Armed with international industry experience amassed from working with major hotels in Asia Pacific and the Middle East, Mr Mahmood was most recently General Manager of the Sheraton Dammam Hotel and Towers, Saudi Arabia.
He has also been associated with several internationally established hotel chains like Raffles, Swissotel and Starwood in various senior management positions over the past 20 years.
Mr Mahmood graduated from Calcutta University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and further upgraded his academic qualifications with the General Manager’s Program from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
