Outrigger Appoints Mark Simmons as VP Sales and Marketing, Asia-Pacific

HONOLULU, HAWAII – June 5, 2013?? Darren Edmonstone, executive vice president and managing director, Asia-Pacific, for Outrigger Enterprises Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Simmons as vice president sales and marketing, Asia-Pacific.

Simmons, an Australian national with 23 years? experience in hospitality in the Asia-Pacific region, most of it in sales and marketing, will be based at the Outrigger regional headquarters in Phuket, Thailand. He will report to Edmonstone.

Prior to joining Outrigger, Simmons was vice president sales and marketing for SilverNeedle Hospitality, based in Singapore. He has held senior executive positions at the Preferred Hotel Group and at Delivering Asia, both in Hong Kong. Simmons has also been responsible for senior sales and marketing and operations positions in Asia-Pacific at the Landmark Bangkok, Accor Asia-Pacific, Century International Hotels, Jumeirah International, and Radisson Hotels.

Simmons has a marketing degree from the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia. He also completed a senior hotel management course with the School of Travel Industry Manager at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
