Port Douglas hotel designated a Sheraton Grand Resort

Port Douglas, Australia – 23 May 2017 – 
Sheraton Hotels & Resorts announces the designation of Sheraton Mirage Resort, Port Douglas, Australia as a Sheraton Grand resort.

The resort, which recently underwent a A$43 million renovation, is one of two Sheraton Grand properties in Australia, recognised for their “enticing destinations, distinguished designs and excellence in service and guest experiences”.

Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Port Douglas joins a portfolio of 37 Sheraton Grand properties worldwide.

Sheraton Grand is one of many initiatives underway as part of Sheraton 2020, “a comprehensive plan to solidify Sheraton as a leading global hotel brand of choice, everywhere”.

“We are very proud to welcome Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Port Douglas to Sheraton’s premier tier of hotels and resorts, which recognises the highest levels of design and service,” said Sean Hunt, area vice president, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific.

“This designation marks a new era for the newly renovated resort, reinforcing its position as one of Australia’s most iconic hotels.”
