Qingming festival is not only a festival to remember and honor ancestors, but also denotes a time for people to go outside and enjoy the greenery of springtime.

Here in Baili Azalea Nature Reserve in Guizhou Province, thousands of tourists are pouring in to get experience the beauty.

The reserve has been taken over by a riot of colors as up to 40 different species of azalea are in full bloom.

Meanwhile many tourists have taken advantage of the Qingming Festival to take an eco-tour in Jiuzhaigou or the Valley of Nine Villages in Sichuan Province.

It is a great masterpiece of nature which combines sky-blue lakes, waterfalls, verdant forests and folk customs of local minority groups. For some visitors, this is what heaven looks like.

Another hot spot in Sichuan is the Leshan Giant Buddha located in the east of Leshan City. Carved out of a hillside in the 8th century, it?s the biggest carved stone Buddha in the world.

Hailed as the most beautiful village in China, the Peitian Village in Liancheng County of Fujian Province has its third Spring Ploughing Festival over the weekend.

Visitors get to see demonstration of ancient farming traditions and Hakka dance performances.
