Radisson Blu Warwick Philadelphia Appoints Shannon Munley-Foster as Director of Sales and Marketing
PHILADELPHIA (September 6, 2013)?— The new Radisson Blu Warwick Philadelphia today announced the appointment of Shannon Munley-Foster as director of sales and marketing. Munley-Foster will oversee all sales, marketing and public relations functions for the 301-room historic property.
“Shannon will play a crucial role as we complete the conversion of the Radisson Plaza – Warwick Hotel Philadelphia to a Radisson Blu property,” said Joanne Cunningham, general manager of the hotel. “Her extensive background in developing and executing sales and marketing initiatives for hotels throughout the US is vital to the property during this exciting time.”
Before joining the Radisson Blu Warwick team, Munley-Foster, a Pennsylvania native, was the regional director of sales and marketing at both the Radisson Phoenix-Chandler and Radisson Hotel Phoenix Airport. She also held positions as the director of sales and marketing at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites in Mesa, AZ and was Senior Sales Manager at Sheraton Nashville Downtown.
The hotel, situated in the prestigious Rittenhouse Square district of Philadelphia, is in its final stages of a $20 million renovation that includes a redesign of all guestrooms and corridors, as well as the hotel’s grand lobby and new Business Class Lounge to reflect Radisson Blu’s signature, contemporary style while maintaining the charm and heritage of the landmark property. The hotel has remained open throughout the conversion.
Originally opened in 1926, the Center City hotel features 301 spacious guest rooms, including four suites; a 2,000-square-foot fitness center; 17,000 square feet of event space; and three dining venues. The hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and, in keeping with Radisson’s commitment to responsible business practices and environmental stewardship, the property has been recognized by the Green Key Eco-Rating Program with a 4 Green Key rating. The hotel is also the recent recipient of the prestigious TripAdvisor? Certificate of Excellence for its consistent, outstanding reviews from travelers.
