Reduced footprint, high savings

A seven-year collaboration between EarthCheck, the world’s leading scientific benchmarking, certification and advisory group, and properties in the Carlson Rezidor Asia Pacific portfolio has achieved US$6.9 million in savings and an overall environmental footprint reduction of 23 percent.
Since 2009, Carlson Rezidor properties enrolled in EarthCheck Certified have achieved the following savings achievements:
·        611 million megajoules of energy; a 21.5 per cent reduction, equivalent to requirements of 25,658 typical four-person households in a developed country for a year
·        917 million litres of water; an 11 percent reduction, equivalent to 367 Olympic sized swimming pools
·        7.8 million litres of waste not sent to landfill; a 36.9 per cent reduction, equivalent to 207x20ft standard cargo containers.
