Security top concern for travellers in 2016

The latest research from Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) suggests 2016 will be the year of the business traveller as companies embrace new technologies and ways of working to improve satisfaction for their employee travellers.
According to the study, ?Travel Trends, Program Priorities: A Traveler-Centric 2016?, these are the top three priorities for corporate travel managers and buyers for 2016:
* Safety and security is by far the highest priority for corporate travel programmes. Overall, 80 percent of the travel managers surveyed expect it to have a high or very high impact on their programmes.
* 63 percent of travel managers expect mobile and wearable technology to have a big impact on their travel programme next year; and
* Travel managers are looking for more data on traveller behaviour and programme performance: 58 percent said they expect having more data to consolidate will impact their programme.
In addition, low-cost carriers (LCCs) will continue to have a high or very high impact, according to 53 percent of surveyed travel managers.
