The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management?(EAHM), one of the world’s leading hospitality business management schools and an integral part of the global luxury hotel company,?Jumeirah Group, has seen record students enrolled this year. EAHM has welcomed more than 200 students from 50 different countries across its three intakes this year which is an all-time record since its inception in 2001. In particular, students undertaking the flagship three year “Bachelor of Science with honours in International Hospitality Management” programme has increased by more than 30% this year. The number of students enrolled on the one year Masters programme also increased substantially.

Commenting on the increase in student enrolments, Ron Hilvert, Managing Director of EAHM said: “The increase in student numbers is testament to the growth of the hospitality and tourism industry in this part of the world. We are privileged that students have chosen us as their preferred education provider and we are committed to developing the future leaders of the hospitality and tourism industry here at EAHM.”

The analysis on the increased student enrolment has shown that more UAE-based students are choosing hospitality and tourism as their career. Dr John Fong, Director of Marketing & International Relations at EAHM said: “We used to recruit more international than UAE-based students and the split was 70%-30%. However, with the increase in the number of UAE-based students, the split is now close to 50%-50%.”

Since 2001, EAHM has been one of the leading providers of University-level hospitality business education and it currently offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees designed to develop the hospitality leaders of the future. Owned by the?1?and located directly opposite the?1, students at EAHM receive excellent internship and employment opportunities upon graduation.
