Thomas Ruhs Appointed as General Manager for Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa in Galena, Illinois
GALENA, Ill. (Aug. 20, 2013)?- Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa (1) is pleased to announce Thomas A. Ruhs as the new general manager for the renowned resort located in Galena, Ill.
As general manager, Ruhs is responsible for all aspects of the resort including overseeing 63 holes on four award-winning golf courses, accommodations that range from quaint Inn rooms to more than 200 villas and distinctive homes, over 15,000 square feet of meeting space, award-winning restaurants, and spa.
Prior to joining Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa, Ruhs was general manager of Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan, Wisc. and previously general manager for Hotel Orrington, an upscale hotel located in Evanston, Ill. He also served as the principle of W|R Hospitality, a marketing-driven hospitality management group in Kalamazoo, Mich. Ruhs’ background also includes 25 years of experience with high-profile and independent properties throughout the U.S. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in hotel, restaurant and institutional management from Michigan State University.
Ruhs currently resides in Galena, Ill. with his family.
