Top hotelier Mario Pick to join German Novum hotels group as COO - Launch of Novum academy for talent development

In Germany, however, Mario Pick is well-known for his undercover TV report working in his hotels as servant. Now, the long-year managing director of Welcome hotels joins Hamburg-based Novum group as Chief Operating Officer.

Pick started his hotel career at Maritim hotel in Bonn and climbed the ladder as managing director of prestigious Villa Vita hotels collection. In the last ten years, Pick formed together with Co-CEO Carsten Kritz the rising group of Welcome hotels for it’s owner Warsteiner brewery. After sale of Welcome hotels to institutional investor Terra Firme, Pick preferred to seek for new challenges.

As COO of Novum hotels, Mario Pick is to build up an own academy for qualifying staff and talent development. Novum hotels is expanding fast in Europe, operating and developing 127 hotels with more than 13,600 rooms currently.
