Wayne Taranto named Director of Hotels and Suites at Crown Group in Sydney

1A leading Australian property developer has appointed a well-known hospitality manager to lead its luxury hotel brand. After recently announcing its expansion into hotels with the launch of its hotel brand Skye Hotel Suites, Sydney-based developer Crown Group last week named Wayne Taranto as Director of Hotels and Suites.

The first Skye Hotel Suites will open in the thriving Sydney suburb of Parramatta in 2017. Prior to his role at Crown Group, Mr Taranto held senior management roles with Amalgamated Holdings Limited (now Event Hospitality & Entertainment) and Accor Hotels and more recently was General Manager of Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.

Earlier this year the company appointed experienced hospitality marketer Irfan Zaki as Director of Sales and Marketing for Skye Hotel Suites. Mr Zaki’s experience spans two decades including roles at Accor Hotels, InterContinental Hotels Group and Meriton Serviced Apartments.
