Hotels are tailoring their services to meet the needs of a new generation of digitally-savvy, device-obsessed travelers. From putting plugs in easy-to-reach places to providing Wi-Fi and interacting with customers on social media, hotels? relationship with technology and customers is changing.

The below infographic from hospitality management platform?eRevMax?outlines five of the top trends in hotel technology from 2013.

Wi-Fi continues to be one of the most talked about aspects of the hotel tech evolution with 85 percent of travelers wanting access to free Wi-Fi. The expectations are in line with their device usage: 45 percent of hotel guests travel with two devices and 40 percent travel with three or more.

Hotel guests are also using the devices and social media apps to make purchases. Sixty-five percent of same-day hotel reservations are made from a smartphone and?78% of consumers? buying decisions are influence by companies? social media posts.
