A digital holiday: Thomas Cook launches ten new high-tech sunshine resorts
1Staying connected while on holiday is the focus of ten new high-tech Thomas Cook resorts unveiled yesterday.
Online gaming areas, activity booking through smartphones or tablets, and free resort wifi will be available at the all-inclusive SunConnect properties from summer 2014.
The resorts, across Turkey, Cyprus, Gran Canaria, Majorca, Tunisia and Croatia, will also offer family-friendly rooms, a dedicated website, dining rooms and a swimming pool.
The digital concept will also offer support from a ConnectScout ? a web-savvy holiday host who will arrange digital activities for families such as geocaching or Xbox gaming.
Harriet Green, Group CEO of Thomas Cook Group, said: ?Following the extensive survey of leisure travellers we undertook earlier this year, we found there was an increasing need for connected holiday experiences which was not being addressed.
?Our new SunConnect resorts are a major step forward in offering customers what they want.
