Samsung developing inroom hotel system
Samsung Electronics has partnered with French industrial group Legrand to develop a new hotel room management system which is claimed will make it easier for guests to use.
The system will be built on Samsung?s LYNK hospitality management solution (HMS) and leverage the expertise of Legrand in electrical equipment.
It will allow hotel guests to manage their room?s light settings, temperature and opening of doors, right from their TV set.
Future features will allow communication between guests and services, such as concierges, taxi reservation and audio-visual support.
Samsung LYNK SINC is an embedded, IP-based content management solution to deliver in-room content through IP networks.
