Munich, 09 March 2017 –
Guest data goes to China: Shiji has evolved to become the most powerful system supplier in terms of travel technology. With the acquisition of Hetras (PMS) and ReviewPro (guest reviews) as well as an interest in Snapshot (data evaluation, not to be confused with Snapchat) the IT company from China has become a big player in Europe, too.

Hetras is becoming more international and is preparing to launch in hotels in China, announced Executive Vice President Hauke Lenthe. The company will focus on medium-sized businesses in the hotel industry. Cloud-PMS has long become the standard and “a product for every hotel“, says Lenthe. The „Guest Facing Technology“ is undergoing further development, with new booking technologies and automatic check-in.

Shiji is increasingly positioning itself as a data and technology innovator in the hotel industry and in trade. COO Kevin King says the company will provide leading IT solutions for all areas where “guests eat, sleep, shop and talk“.

The world of travel is increasingly being socialized – through online bookings, e-mail reminders prior to arrival, guest communication via messenger like WeChat, reviews and other content on Tripadvisor and Facebook. Shiji long combines all crucial technologies for the hotel industry: payment systems, CRS, loyalty programs and Switches as well as PoS solutions for F&B outlets.
